On Saturday the 15th of October 2022 our trip to Dublin started. Everything began in Innsbruck at 05:15 am where we hopped on a bus to Munich Airport and then boarded the plane to our destination. The following five days we had a diverse programme where we took part in several activities. On the first day of our journey, we took a train to Belfast, UK, and explored the city. We had the possibility to see the City Hall, the Titanic Museum, the Crumlin Road Goal, Cathedral Quarters or the Catholic Quarters with its murals and the Peace Wall. The next days in Dublin, we had a guided city tour, visited some museums (National Museum of Decorative Arts and History, National Art Gallery), watched a movie in the cinema, went to the sea and admired some of Ireland‘s most famous cliffs in Howth. Each afternoon we attended courses in the local language school CES and improved our speaking and writing skills. In between all these activities we worked on our projects, took pictures and interviews and recorded street noises of Dublin. In our free time, we went to the nearest parks, famous pubs, restaurants and shops or spent some time with our host families. On Friday the 21st of October we had to say goodbye and flew back home. We want to thank Land Tirol for the financial support. – Julia Brunner & Emily Rinner (5CHW)
